PETE BARTKOWSKI - A fisherman all his life, Pete has fished some of the most remarkable and challenging salt and fresh water fisheries around the world. One of Pete’s many gifts is his ability to find the best guides available, and he’s proud of the team he’s built for Ruby Drake Lodge. His experiences not only make him a great guide and curator of guides, but they’ve also given him a superb understanding of what it takes to be a great host. Originally from the south, Pete seeks to ensure that everyone who visits Ruby Drake Lodge experiences the perfect combination: warm southern hospitality and world class fishing.
STEVE BARTKOWSKI - (AKA:Pete’s Dad) is known for having worn many hats (and helmets), Steve is probably best known for playing quarterback for 12 years in the NFL. After his retirement from the game, he was the creator and host of outdoor television shows Suzuki’s Great Outdoors on ESPN & Bass Pro Shops Backroad Adventures. He fished the world on those shows, but there is no place he’d rather be or fish than in beautiful Montana. So naturally, he was thrilled when son Pete asked his old man to come help him out at the lodge. Whether he’s telling war stories around the fire pit or cooking up some mean ribs for the guys after a day on the river, one thing is obvious…Steve’s doing exactly what he loves… living his dream of living in Montana surrounded by nature and family.
